How to get a bond

Commercial Bonds

Contract Bonds

In order to approach a bonding company and establish a working bond program please provide the following;

  • CPA prepared year-end financial statement
  • Personal financial statement on all owners (see forms)
  • Corporate Federal tax return
  • Questionnaire (see forms)
  • Contracts in progress report (see forms)
  • Bank letter regarding current line of credit

If you do not need a program but only a final bond for one project or you are a small contractor who infrequently needs bid or final bonds up to $350,000 please call us as we will not need all of the above information.

Site Improvement Bonds

In order to get approval for a site improvement bond please provide the following, if available;

  • CPA prepared year-end financial statement on the entity which needs to post the bond
  • Federal tax return on the entity which needs to post the bond
  • Personal financial statement on all owners of the project (see forms)
  • Evidence of bank financing for the project
  • Township engineer estimate letter
