O'Gorman & Young, Inc. was founded in 1894 and incorporated as a retail property, casualty, and health services insurance agency with offices in Chatham and Princeton, New Jersey. In 1973 O'Gorman & Young purchased G.R. Murray Insurance, a Princeton, New Jersey, Agency founded in 1935, which continues to trade as G.R. Murray through its Princeton office.

The combined firms design innovative commercial and personal insurance and risk management solutions for families, individuals, businesses, schools, and municipalities needing coverage ranging from simple to complex in all markets for every area of risk exposure.
